Introduction

Graffiti General was a WebGL browser game that took place in an abandoned building in Pantin, France. It was fairly undocumented, so I decided to document the existence of this game, along with some of the major things that happened when it was still around. Note that some, if not most of this is heresay, especially because I'm mainly speaking from memory. Also I lost a bunch of screenshots (of this game) I took back then, so if you have any, feel free to share 'em!

Timeline

December 2013 - Graffiti General is released for anyone to play!

Mid 2020 - Apparently Graffiti General's golden era.

February 2021 - I start playing Graffiti General under the pseudonym, Pro.

Mid-Late 2021 - A player that wrote Mr allied with me when I kept getting dissed by someone who wrote Eso.

August 16th, 2021 - The unofficial Graffiti General Discord server is created by SahoD

August 20th, 2021 - I joined the unofficial Graffiti General Discord server.

August ???, 2021 - A player that wrote Coma (best known for doing block letters) quit.

September 2021 - SahoD discovered how to insert images on the walls, and how to edit the brush size and opacity. He showed everyone in the unofficial Graffiti General Discord how to edit the brush size and opacity.

Post-Summer 2021 - I stopped playing Graffiti General probably because of school, but would rarely pop back in.

March 25th, 2022 - This was when I was still a noob at programming, and I was really interested in testing requests with some HTTP interceptor. I figured out how to clone a wall image, and more. Some people also knew how to set it to the default wall.

April 2022 - Some player that wrote Blos (possibly bears resemblence to Mr, and Coma's handstyle?) comes back.

November 1st, 2022 - Likely same person who writes Mr, Coma, and Blos was claiming to be a fake crew called IV or something.

November 9th, 2022 - Earliest presence of UrGod?

November 19th, 2022 - Someone was cloning walls, and drawing with a modified [big] brush. Some now deleted Discord user claims to have cloned walls due to some old beef with LPB crew.

December 18th?, 2022 - A player that wrote UrGod would clone walls (and possibly unlock them) just to get rid of LPB crew's drawings, and troll. This player may have had a similar style to Mr?

February 23rd, 2023 - A player that wrote Difer leaked how to lock/unlock a wall in the unofficial Graffiti General Discord. All hell would break loose not too long after. People would figure out how to insert their own images on the wall(s), clone walls, and all that horseshit

April 27th, 2023 - Graffiti General's system is rolled back to a version from 2013. Publishing your drawing doesn't work anymore, it returned a 500 (IIRC) and hangs, probably due to a lack of error handling.

August 11th?, 2025 - Last working Wayback Machine archive of Graffiti General

October 16th, 2025 - I found out that Graffiti General's server doesn't connect anymore, which likely means that the site is officially dead.
