Context
On August 15th, 2025, something interesting kept happening. On my old TikTok account, I kept getting these bots that would repost Italian SpongeBob clips, and the videos themselves would have captions that were engagement bait. I originally wanted to make my For You Page just that content, because I thought it'd be funny, and it reminded me of 2022 when all you saw on TikTok was "Yeah, I'd like to solve the puzzle". I really just observed, and ended up taking notes on these bots in a Google Doc. I didn't know what to do with what I found for a while (I originally wanted to make a TikTok on it, but couldn't be assed to do so), but on May 29th, 2026, I realized that I should put this on my website, and here we are. This was too interesting, and I did too much digging just to do nothing with this info.

I called them stages, because (as you will "see") they took breaks for literal days, then they ended up doing something a bit different.

Some accounts stopped their stages 2 days earlier than others, so the end date is when all of them were effectively taking breaks. This might prove AND disprove that they were separate groups.

They occasionally (rarely?) posted random English SpongeBob clips with SpongeBob borders. On the top border, it says “Join the exciting hunt!” on the top left of the border, “Jellyfishing Adventure” on the bottom right of the border, and has the SpongeBob SquarePants logo on the top right of the border.

They occasionally posted Mr. Bean clips with borders. Top border had Mr. Bean characters, and bottom border had a blurred, and zoomed in version of the clip along with Mr. Bean, and some teddy bear (don't come at me Mr. Bean fans).
Stage 2 ~ August 19th, 2025 - August 24th, 2025

Videos with the first quote typically don't have any audio.
